so this morning my mum phoned the stairlift company because they didn't phone first thing this morning like they said they would. the engineer i saw on friday who told me he was going to request a new part lied to me! he apparently went back to the office & said theirs nothing wrong & didn't even suggest a new part!
so all they would agree to do was send yet another engineer out. he would be sent out in the morning. he finally arrived at 8.15 tonight! of course he couldn't figure out what was wrong.
however in the meantime my mum had mentioned human rights (i've been trapped upstairs for 5 days now) and disability discrimination act to stairlift company over the phone. i had also mentioned my imprisonment on minster fm's facebook page. we don't know exactly what it was that hit a nerve but customer services have been on the phone grovelling, promising to sort the problem then apologising more when mum discovered customer services have been given the wrong information about what is actually wrong. so we might finally be getting somewhere.
i will however be a prisoner until at least friday when technical support are apparently coming out. so it seems the minimum sentence for the terrible crime of being disabled is 9 days
